Where Dreams Take Shape: Inside Danielle’s World of Detail and Design
“We’re here to grow with you… and to thrive with you throughout all of these huge moments that are so important.”

From the moment Danielle was a little girl flipping through glossy magazines, her eyes lit up with the possibility of what could be. She wasn’t just admiring the styled rooms or wedding spreads, she was studying them. Rearranging furniture in her head. Imagining new ways a space could tell a story. And often, literally rearranging her friend’s playroom during playdates, only to have that friend’s mom come in and ask, “Can you design our house, too?”
It wasn’t just a childhood pastime, her ability to see beauty not just as it was, but as it could be, proved to be a rare, innate gift, one that would allow her to bring others’ visions to life and open the eyes of possibility for everyone she was around. As Danielle grew up, she was unknowingly shaping the foundation of what would one day become Dwell In The Details, a brand rooted in intentionality, aesthetics, and creating spaces and experiences that help people feel seen and celebrated.

As I got to know Danielle’s beginnings, she shared something else with me, a part of her that was at the heart of everything she did. “I’m a really big hostess,” she shared. “As you can assume with someone who loves design, planning, and events.” Whether it was a birthday celebration for her husband, a crawfish boil, or a cozy holiday gathering, Danielle naturally turned everyday moments into thoughtful, beautiful experiences. Friends would bring other friends, and her home became a place where “the more, the merrier” wasn’t just a saying—it was a way of life.
From that place, something unexpected began to happen. Guests, many of whom didn’t know Danielle personally, started asking her to plan their weddings. “I started booking wedding clients just from them being in my home,” she said. “I heard some of them say, and then realized this was a pattern, ‘If this is what you design a home like, I trust you to design my wedding with your eyes closed!’”

While Danielle had long known she was passionate about creating beautiful, intentional spaces, I could imagine those moments, and how they sparked a new clarity. “It was a lightbulb moment that made me think, I can marry these two things—pun intended!”
That long-term connection is at the heart of what Danielle envisioned when she created Dwell In The Details. “The idea behind Dwell In The Details is exactly that,” she told me. “It gives me the ability to walk through these milestones with my clients.” For many, the journey begins with their wedding day, the first, and often most significant celebration they plan. But for Danielle, that’s just the beginning.
“Once I establish that level of relationship, trust, and ‘wow’ factor when we execute their wedding day, it’s not something that should just end there, it should continue and grow with them.” By offering interior design and organization alongside weddings and events, Danielle has found a natural way to stay connected through each new chapter. “It’s just like the crème de la crème to me. It makes sense,” she said. “When you truly understand what a client likes and doesn’t like, when you get their vibe, their personality, and their story, it’s a no-brainer that this is something that should continue into their life.”

“I created a culmination of my experiences and passions,” she said, explaining the three pillars of her company: design, events, and organization. “The wedding might be our starting point, but seeing you through these other aspects is what we’re passionate about.” She continued, “our philosophy is rooted in the belief that aesthetics and functionality should harmoniously coexist. We aim to build enduring relationships with our clients that start with their wedding and continue through various life milestones.”
When Danielle decided to build her brand, the first steps weren’t glamorous, but they were necessary. “It’s unfortunately boring, official paperwork, filing your LLC, getting an EIN, setting up bank accounts and cards… all the things that make you an established business,” she laughed. “Not fun! And definitely not the highlight of being a business owner, that’s for sure. But that’s where you have to start—to be real, legit, and legal.”

Once the logistics were in place, the creative work began. Danielle took time to define what she wanted to offer and how to communicate it clearly. “At that point, this idea was beautiful and big, but it only lived in my head, it didn’t exist anywhere else,” she said. “So how do I translate it from this visionary space in my brain to a computer, to an Instagram, to a person talking about what I do?”
Her focus became clarity, ensuring that everyone, from a longtime friend to a brand-new client, would experience Dwell In The Details the way she envisioned it. “I care about details. I care about functionality. I care about aesthetics,” she said. “That became the bigger picture, thinking about the eyes that are on your business and how to deliver it in a way that’s both digestible and aligned with your vision.”

Curious to understand how she bridges vision and execution, I asked Danielle a key question: “As you have gained more experience in the wedding industry, what have you learned about communicating your clients' visions while helping them move from an idea in their head to an actual wedding day celebration?”
As she reflected, Danielle answered, “honestly, I think one of the biggest things I bring to the table is reassurance and reasoning,” she said. “I’m a big pro/con person. I like thinking through every angle so I can help clients make decisions with full clarity, and I do that based on the experience I’ve had across so many types of events.” Though weddings are her focus now, Danielle’s background includes corporate, community, and athletic events, along with time at Chick-fil-A, experience she says gives her a broader lens than the average planner.
“Even if this is their first and only wedding, they don’t know what they don’t know. That’s where I come in,” she explained. “My job is to walk them through the vision, the logistics, the costs, everything, so they can move forward with confidence, or adjust while still staying true to their vibe.” Whether it's scaling back or going all in, Danielle's process is always client-first, rooted in trust and grounded by experience.
I then asked Danielle about one of her most memorable moments as a wedding planner. She smiled, “Gosh, there are so many, it’s hard to choose!” she said. “But one moment that always stands out is the one right before a bride walks down the aisle. Even if they’ve done a first look or not, we always pause. We shut the doors, give them a second to breathe, and let it be a moment. It’s quiet, sacred. Almost like the breath before a shooting star.”
As the planner, Danielle is the one straightening the dress, offering a few grounding words, and reminding the bride that she’s ready. Nervous or giddy, tearful or laughing, Danielle is there for it all. “It’s just special. I don’t have another word for it. To know that I’m part of a moment they’ll never forget—that ‘moment before the moment’—it means everything to me.”

And then, with a laugh, she added another favorite: weddings that involve dogs. “I’m a huge dog person, so anytime a couple includes their pup, I’m all in. One time, a dog was supposed to walk down the aisle solo, but he froze, concrete paws, wouldn’t budge! So, I walked him down myself. Everyone cracked up. It was this mix of laughter and ‘aww’s,’ and such a sweet, human moment. Definitely one for the memory books.”
As I continued to listen to Danielle, it became clear that her work isn’t just about planning weddings or styling spaces - it’s about crafting meaningful moments and environments where life can unfold beautifully, with both elegance and intention. She spoke with the clarity of someone who knows her purpose and the warmth of someone who deeply values connection. Her business, she explained, isn’t just about weddings, homes, or events. It’s about people.

Throughout our time together, she returned again and again to one core belief: that people deserve to feel joy in their spaces and in their moments, and they don’t have to do it alone.
When I asked Danielle about her wedding, she laughed and said, “Honestly, I was absolutely in love with my wedding… It was so perfect, I want it to stay exactly how it was.” Held in Croatia to honor her husband’s heritage, the four-day celebration was intimate and meaningful. “It was a Mamma Mia-style wedding,” she said, complete with personal touches like a surprise saxophonist for her mom and a multigenerational family cake. “The details were everything.” Danielle added that she was intentional about making the experience unforgettable for her guests.

“The only thing I’d change is giving myself more time to just be a bride,” she reflected. “I jumped right back into work after the honeymoon.” Still, she’s proud of the experience, and eager for a challenge. “I’m just waiting for a Croatian bride or an American bride wanting a European wedding! Let me top this one, I dare you!”
Danielle emphasized that while you don’t necessarily need a full-service planner, hiring a professional is always a wise investment. Whether you choose someone to manage your wedding day or provide full planning and design, their expertise helps you navigate what can be an overwhelming experience.
“I’ve never heard someone say they didn’t need a planner and didn’t regret it. Having an expert in your corner ensures you don’t miss details, avoid stress, and can fully enjoy your wedding without worrying about the logistics.”
“You don’t know what you don’t know. There are experts in every field, and wedding planning is no different. They are there to guide you through all the decisions, details, and challenges that arise, making the process easier and helping you enjoy your day.”

Her advice for couples is to keep their preferences at the forefront and focus on what matters to them, not what others think. Danielle emphasizes how personal—and overwhelming, wedding planning can be when couples lose sight of what matters. “It’s about you two. No one else matters,” she said. Her advice: keep you and your fiancé’s preferences and dreams at the forefront of all your decisions, and revisit them when outside opinions threaten to derail your vision. “If you knew from the beginning you wanted a band, but later everyone tells you not to—go back to those notes.
Finally, Danielle stressed the importance of staying ahead in the planning process. “Keep track of deadlines and tasks, and don’t fall behind. It’s easy to get overwhelmed with everything going on in life, but having a detailed checklist can help keep you on track. I provide clients with a customized timeline so they’re never behind, ensuring everything stays organized.”
She explained that while weddings are often the introduction point, many clients return for interior design help, event planning, or even organizational support as life unfolds. In Danielle’s vision, Dwell In The Details is a lifelong creative partner—the team that gets you to the altar, then helps design your nursery, organize your family life, and throw your child’s fourth birthday party in the same home they helped you bring to life. “We’re here to grow with you,” she said. “And we’re here to thrive with you throughout all of these huge things that are so important.”
What makes Danielle and Dwell In The Details stand out isn’t just talent, it’s the way she builds relationships with her clients, looking far beyond the big day to what their future might hold.
“I was creating these relationships with my wedding clients who were already in the works of buying their home or talking about expanding their family shortly after the wedding,” she said. “And at Dwell In The Details, we really genuinely care about getting to know our clients and the essence of them together—their story and what’s important to them.”

As Danielle sees it, the dream client is one she meets at the altar and walks with through every milestone afterward. She isn’t just designing events. She’s designing a life, one filled with meaning, beauty, and intention.
“I just can’t picture all of these different things happening without their influence,” she said, imagining what her long-term clients might say.
Danielle has always seen what others might miss. Whether it’s the detail in a design or the feeling behind a space, she leans into the story behind it all. And now, through Dwell In The Details, she gets to help others do the same, one thoughtfully executed vision at a time.
One where people feel held, heard, and helped through some of the most meaningful moments of their lives. In the hands of someone like Danielle, vision becomes reality, beautifully, intentionally, and always with the details in mind.
