Say, "I Do" With Allegro Located In Dripping Springs, TX
“I think that a personal connection for us is really important with our couples. We want our couples to feel like family,” Amber said.
“The Big Day”.
When it comes to planning your wedding, this phrase is mentioned over and over again by vendors, coordinators, friends, and family, and every detail is geared towards creating a single day of perfection. However, what would it look like if you had a team of planners and coordinators who not only prioritized your wedding day but your marriage as well? How would it feel to have a team of people cheering you on as you start your new life together and giving you the tools to succeed beyond the “big day”?
This genuine consideration and respect is the top priority for the team at Allegro.
Allegro is a gorgeous wedding venue tucked away in the hill country of Dripping Springs, TX. Founder Joseph Driscoll bought the property in 2021 and named it after his daughter Allegra. Driscoll fell in love with the beautiful landscape and has worked hard to create a beautiful space where people could celebrate marriage and begin life together. This passion is also shared by the team members at Allegro, and talking to Amber Griffin and Michele Vaughn made this evident.
Amber was brought on board the Allegro team as general manager in October of 2021. She had a background in event planning, catering, and entrepreneurship, and she has played a huge role in the development of Allegro.
“Keeping the heart of the Texas hill country into this space was really important, but elevating it,” Amber explained. “It doesn’t feel too wagon wheel-ish here. Hill country elements with more of a cosmopolitan feel.” - Amber Griffin
Amber has an eye for design and takes great pride in the luxurious elements and details of the property. From the luxury sheets and linens to the high-end decor, the attention-to-detail is prominent in every amenity.
Michele joined the Allegro team after having her own wedding at the venue. To make things even crazier, Michele and her husband were supposed to be married at another venue, before switching to Allegro last minute.
“It was meant to be,” Michele said, recalling the day. “On my wedding day, I told Amber at the end of the night, I’m like, ‘this is my dream job’. I didn’t want the planning to end.”
When Amber mentioned that they were hiring, Michele couldn’t get it out of her head.
“Afterwards I kind of just stalked her,” Michele said, laughing.
Amber chimed in. “She texted me the very next day.”
Michele also had a background in entrepreneurship, having run her own organization business, so after getting hired she and Amber got to work organizing closets, taking inventory, and snapping photos. Needless to say, they are pretty much the dream team.
The key to success at Allegro is relationships, and they surround themselves with a community of loyal vendors, planners, and clients who all support and care for each other.
“We get to know our couples on a more intimate level than most other venues I would say,” Amber said. “Most of the time you sign your contract with your venue and you see them a year or two years later. On the wedding day, they unlock the door and then that’s it. There’s not a ton of communication. There’s not a ton of planning. We’re more hands-on.”
The Allegro team does so much to ensure that their couples feel cared for, including providing a variety of packages and budget options. When a couple is considering Allegro, the team will sit down with them, reverse engineer their budget, and pinpoint what is most important to the couple. Whether it be having the grooviest DJ dance party at the reception or having stunning photos to pass down through generations, they want each couple to have everything they ever dream of.
As mentioned before, the Allegro team cares about more than the single wedding day, they value the marriage that follows.
“We also put a big emphasis on educating our clientele,” Amber shared. “We offer a complete planning guide tool for all of our couples that join the Allegro family.”
Not only does the Allegro family help with budgets and vendor recommendations, they also ask that the couple leave and discuss their decision in private before coming back with a decision. This puts the couple’s relationship as the top priority and prevents any miscommunication or hasty decisions.
Michele has spoken with many brides who feel pressure from others to have their wedding a certain way. “Some brides have come in, and they’re like, ‘Well I know I'm not supposed to do this. You’re supposed to do that', and I’m like, ‘No no no, honey, this is your day. Make it your day'.” Michele always makes an effort to let brides know that their wedding can be however they want it. “If you don’t want to have bridesmaids and groomsmen, you don’t have to. They don’t have to stand there with you. They can sit down. You can do whatever you want because it’s your day. I think it’s great for us to encourage that because I don’t think they get that a lot.”
“I think that a personal connection for us is really important with our couples. We want our couples to feel like family,” Amber said. “When they join and they sign a contract with Allegro, it’s not transactional. We really do feel like they’re part of our families.”
Just like a real family, the staff at Allegro truly care about the couples they host, following up with them about new homes, jobs, and other life developments.
“I still text my past couples all the time,” Amber added. She even reached out to them during the big ice storm to make sure everyone was safe.
Allegro is the perfect place to celebrate the start of your new family. With a team that truly cares for every person that walks through their gates, they want everything to be as YOU have envisioned it. They have wedding and reception packages, elopement packages, and even the newly launched Destination Package which includes venue access, a wedding planner, a DJ, a Day of Coordinator, and transportation for guests staying off-property.
Amber and Michele had many sweet stories of weddings at Allegro, and if you didn’t know any better you would think they were talking about their personal friends’ weddings. They shared the moments that have made them giddy with excitement and the ones that have brought them to tears. They praised the creativity of their couples and the uniqueness that they cater to. Most of all they spoke about the importance of the relationships being celebrated and the responsibility they take on to ensure that the “big day” excitement lasts a lifetime.
